In a small corner of the world in the Deep South of Sicily, Triokala - that means “the three good things” – rises up. The Greeks named it like this due to the three gifts with whom Mother Nature honored this land: the fertility of its countryside, the abundance and sweetness of its water and the ancient fortress on the top of the mountain, which protected its inhabitants from evil. As centuries go by, signs of this knowledge pervaded by magic, religion and superstition seem lost in the fog that covers the country. But all is not lost. In fact, it is still possible to read on the faces of the inhabitants, in the essence and variety of the rituals, the traces of an ancient knowledge, which still marks the time and relationship between man and nature.
