“La linea del Pasubio” is a documentary written by Michele Pellegrini and Matteo Raffaelli. It is not a simple reconstruction of what happened on mount Pasubio during the war, rather the story of some symbolic locations where took place one of the hardest battles. The works of art of Marco Nereo Rotelli and the voice of Peppe Servillo flow all thorough the narration. The latter gives voice to words written by the soldiers on postcards during the war, while travelling through the way of 52 galleries. Fear, hope, despair, anger. The feelings of the men, who experienced trench warfare, pour on the face of the famous Neapolitan actor. The Pasubio front was the ancient border between Italy and Austria, the fighting line for two armies and for artillery. Today the Pasubio front is a complex and extraordinary museum, made up by galleries and war finds, spread through the mountains of those wonderful places. “La linea del Pasubio” is not only an homage to the 100 anniversary of Italy that in 1915 took part in the first world war, but it really wants to be the light, the proof, that not all was lost in those days of sufferings and war.
