The city Councillor for Cultural affairs, Silvio Maselli affirms the Italian Screenings to be held in Bari, June 29th to July 3rd, organized by Istituto Luce Cinecittà, involving International managers and buyers is one of the most important events for film professionals and Italian Cinema.
The Italian Screenings is the only annual market entirely dedicated to Italian productions , never before has this year’s edition been marked by such significant numbers: 130 film professionals, 30 countries represented, 20 world premieres besides the International premieres, 60 screenings.
The increasing numbers since past editions confirm the prestigious growth of this event which is the most successful and significant initiative for the internationalization of Italian cinema.
The choice of Bari as the site where meetings can take place between the potential distributors, possible co producers for Italian films, is in response to the significant work these past years of the Apulia Film Commission and the Apulia region to create within this region a system that supports and coordinates the whole Film Industry, from the ideas to the distribution, passing by screenwriting, production and promotion.
“We are honoured to host for the second consecutive year the Italian Sreenings in Bari- states Silvio Maselli – and are grateful to Istituto Luce Cinecittà which has chosen once more the Apulian capital for a very anticipated event by Film professionals from all over the world. Appointments like these prove and confirm that Bari is the perfect city to welcome the Business meetings and give us the support to reach for even more ambitious goals”
