HotDocs: deadline for submissions on October 21st

For the first time, we are coordinating the selections for Italian documentaries at Hot Docs - Canadian International Documentary Film Festival (April 27 – May 7, 2017).
Director of Programming Shane Smith will be in Rome to view the Italian films at our offices from Thursday October 27 to Saturday October 29, 2016.
Here are selected selection guidelines:
* Hot Docs features two juried competition programs, Canadian Spectrum and International Spectrum, and several non-competitive programs. Feature-length films in the Spectrum programs are eligible for jury prizes.
* All feature films are eligible for the Audience Award.
* Films must have been completed after January 1, 2016
* Films must be at minimum Toronto premieres and must not be available online in any form (this includes DVDs for purchase in any region).

We would like to inform you that documentaries submitted through us, will be exempt from the submission fee. In order to receive the fee waiver code, you must reply to the emails below by and no later than October 21st, 2016 specifying the title, the director and the film length.
We also kindly ask you to send a dvd/Blu-ray with English subtitles to our office by and no later than October 24th, 2016:
