Crater, the first feature movie of Silvia Luzi and Luca Bellino, has won the Special Jury Prize at the 30° Tokyo International Film Festival.
The movie, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival's Critic's Week, has received the recognition by the Jury presided over Tommy Lee Jones and composed of the directors Reza Mirkarimi and Martin Provost and the actors Zhao Wei and Masatoshi Nagase "because Crater touched the Jury for its strenght and authenticity".
The movie has been produced by TFilm with Rai Cinema and it has been sold worlwide by Alpha Violet.
Another Italian debut film had won an important award in Tokyo in 2015: God Willing by Edoardo Falcone indeed had received the Audience Award.
The Italian movie selection and the presence of the talents in Tokyo have been coordinated by Istituto Luce Cinecittà – Filmitalia.
