Giovanna Mezzogiorno has won as Best Actress Award at 40. Moskow International Film Festival, (April 19th-26th), for her role in Naples in Veils by Ferzan Ozpetek, invited in Competition and as Opening Film.
The Main Competition Jury was presided over by Paolo Del Brocco and composed by Anna Melikyan, John Savage, Nastassja Kinski, Liang Qiao.
Another film by Ozpetek received an important prize at Moscow in 2012: Magnificent Presence received the Audience Award.
International sales of Naples in Veils are handled by True Colours.
Italian selections at Moskow Festival are coordinated Istituto Luce Cinecittà-Filmitalia, that also provides support to delegation.
