the Promotion Department at Istituto Luce Cinecittà is organizing the Italian selections for the SIFF - Shanghai International Film Festival (June 15^th - 24^th, 2019).
From February 13th through 16th the following selection committee will be host in Rome: Fan Jingwen (Assistant Director, Film Competition & Programming Dept.), Li Qingyang (Manager, Film Competition & Programming Dept.) and Lu Wenqian (Manager, Film Competition & Programming Dept.).

Please find below the regulations:
COMPETITION - Eligible films should be:
* produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st 2018,
* the film run should be minimum 70 mins,
* the film should not have been selected in the Competition section of any other International Festival,
* the film should not have been released in countries different than its country of production,
* priority will be given to World or International Premières.
DOCUMENTARIES COMPETITION - Eligible documentaries should be:
* produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st 2018,
* priority will be given to World or International Premières,
* the film run should be minimum 70 mins.
ANIMATION COMPETITION - Eligible animation films should be:
* produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st 2018,
* priority will be given to World or International Premières,
* the film run should be minimum 70 mins.
PANORAMA/FOCUS ITALY - Eligible films should be:
* produced or presented in their country of origin after January 1st 2018,
* the film run should be minimum 70 mins,

We inform you that if you choose to submit the film through our selections, it is NOT necessary to submit the film on Festival's website.

We kindly ask you to email us within Monday February 11th, 2019: the title of the film you would like to submit; the link of the film with English subtitle; the info sheet or pressbook in English.
