in April, Istituto Luce – Cinecittà - Filmitalia Dept. will host the selections for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Locarno Festival Filmfest München:

54° Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, June 28th – July 6th, 2019
attending: Karel Och (Festival Director), Lorenzo Esposito (Consultant)
selections: April 8th - 12th
Regulations:
OFFICIAL SELECTION (Competition): can access movies feature films and documentaries (longer than 60') made after July 1, 2017 that have not participated in any other competitive festival and that have not been projected outside of the country of origin before September 1, 2018. The films presented to the Official Selection must be exclusively world premieres or International premieres.
NON-COMPETITIVE SECTION: feature films made after July 1, 2018, that have not already participated in the festival or had their international première before September 1, 2018.
Materials for submissions: DVD, Blu-ray or link, with a pressbook. English subtitles are not necessary for this selection.
Submission: it is not necessary to register the film and pay the fee. We kindky ask you to send the screening material by the deadline of Wednesday April 3rd, to the following address, specifying: “Karlovy Vary IFF Selections”, Catalino/Tucci

Regulations
PIAZZA GRANDE for feature films and documentaries;
CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE for feature films and documentaries exceeding 60 min. length; 
CONCORSO CINEASTI DEL PRESENTE for first and second works exceeding 60 min. length (feature films, documentaries and experimental works are eligible); 
MOVING AHEAD Competition presents as world or international premieres a competitive selection of works by well-established filmmakers, exploring new narrative forms and innovative film language.
For all the sections, the films must have been made after August 1, 2018, they must be World or International Premieres and they must not have been shown at any other International Festival.
