HotDocs selections are open

Deadline: December 16th

HotDocs selections are open

Istituto Luce Cinecittà will coordinate, also this year,  the selections for Italian documentaries at Hot Docs - Canadian International Documentary Film Festival (April 29th – May 9th, 2021).
For obvious reasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will not host a HOT DOCS' delegate in Rome this year, but we will always be in contact with the Programming Team in order to coordinate the submissions of Italian films.
Here are selected selection guidelines:
* Hot Docs features two juried competition programs, Canadian Spectrum and International Spectrum, and several non-competitive programs. Feature-length films in the Spectrum programs are eligible for jury prizes.
* All feature films are eligible for the Audience Award.
* Films must have been completed after January 1, 2020.
* Films must be at minimum Ontario premieres and must not be available online in any form, for any period of time, to Ontario audiences prior to the 2021 Festival (this includes DVDs for purchase or VOD of any length or language).
You may find full regulations here: www.hotdocs.ca/i/submit-a-film
In order to receive the fee waiver link for submissions, you must write to Alessio Massatani a.massatani@cinecittaluce.it tel. +3906 72286408, and Cecilia Spano documentaristica@cinecittaluce.it no later than Wednesday December 16th specifying the title, the director and the film length and including a link of the film with English subtitles. The Hot Docs submission form must be filled out by Wednesday December 16th 11:59pm ET.
