The Italian selections for the 55° Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, August 20th - 28th, 2021, have started and Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Filmitalia department will be organizing them. Artistic Director Karel Och, and Italian delegate, Lorenzo Esposito will be in charge of the selections, we are waiting to understand if it will be possible to carry them out in person around mid April.
Guidelines:
Official selection (Competition) will be open to Feature films and Documentaries (over 60 ') made after 1 July 2020 that have not participated in other competitive festivals that have not been screened outside the country of origin before 1 September 2020 are eligible for access. Films submitted for official selection must be world or International premieres only.
Non-competitive sections can participate in Feature films made after 1 July 2020 that have not already participated in festivals or had their International premiere before 1 September 2020.
Materials for submissions: link, with a pressbook or data sheet. English subtitles are not mandatory for this stage of the selection.
