As always Filmitalia, the Promotion Dpt of Istituto Luce Cinecittà, organizes the Italian selections for the TIFF-Toronto International Film Festival (46th edition, September 9th - 18th, 2021).
Selection Process:
For obvious reasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will not host a TIFF delegate in Rome this year, but we will always be in contact with the Programming Team in order to coordinate the submissions of Italian films.
Eligibility:
Films must have been completed after May 29th, 2020. For further information, TIFF rules and conditions are available at the following link: www.tiff.net/submissions
Submissions:
It is mandatory to fill the entry form online on TIFF website, and to upload the film at filmfreeway.com/TIFF, but the submission fee will be waived if you submit the film through the selections organized by us.
In order to receive the waiver code, please request it within Tuesday, May 25th to: a.nucara@cinecittaluce.it and g.guerrasio@cinecittaluce.it.
Please specify title, name of director and if it’s a feature film or a documentary. We will reply to you giving you the waiver code which you will use during the online submission (deadline: May 28th) and upload of the film, within June 11th. If you cannot meet this deadline for the upload of the film please tell us and provide us with indications on the timing.
Together with the request, you should send us a link of the film with English subtitles.
