Cinecittà-Filmitalia is organizing the Italian selections for the 45th Göteborg Film Festival, January 28 - February 6, 2022. This year the Head of International Programme Johan Blomqvist will not be our guest in our office in Rome, but he will receive the links of the screeners of the film that you would like to submit through Cinecittà.
Submission to the Festival is open to feature films, creative documentaries and experimental films of minimum length 60 minutes.
The competitive sections for international films are:
· The Ingmar Bergman Competition, for feature length fiction films by first- and second-time directors.
· International Competition – open for all feature length films.
The festival also presents focuses and out of competition sections, such as:
Gala, Masters, Visionaries, Voyage
To be considered for the 45th Göteborg Film Festival the submitted film must have had its first public screening after July 1, 2021.
Please note that any screening of the film in Sweden prior to the Festival automatically disqualifies the film from participating in the Göteborg Film Festival.
Films submitted to the Göteborg Film Festival’s previous editions and not selected will not be reconsidered.

If you submit your film through Cinecittà you do not need to fill the entry form online and pay the fee.
