From July 4th through August 5th, 2022, Filmitalia will organize the selections of the following festivals at Cinecittà:

47° TIFF - Toronto International Film Festival (8/18 September, 2022)

Eligibility Criteria: Films must have been completed after May 28th, 2021 and must have a minimum North American Premiere status. Films already proposed in other versions for previous editions of TIFF will not be accepted.

How to submit: It is necessary to fill in the online entry form and upload the film via>Filmfreeway<, but it is possible not to pay the submission fee if you participate in the selections through our organization.
To get the waiver code for free registration, you must request it no later than June 10th to the selection managers. We will then provide you with the waiver code to register on the official TIFF website (at the same time we will give you information on the deadline to do so).

66° BFI London Film Festival (5/16 October, 2022)
Festival Delegate: Adrian Wootton, in Rome July 11th/15th

Eligibility criteria: Films produced in the 12 months preceding the start of the festival, which have not had any kind of UK release.

27° Busan International Film Festival (5/14 October, 2022)

Eligibility criteria: Films completed after October 2021. Priority is given to international or world premieres.

35° Tokyo International Film Festival (24 October – 2 November, 2022)

Eligibility criteria: Films over 60’ never released in Japan, made after January 1, 2022, can access the International Competition. The films with world or international premieres will have priority. Films already distributed on platforms and with commercial home video releases are not eligible.

38° Haifa International Film Festival (8/17 October, 2022)

Eligibility criteria: Films completed after October 2021. Documentaries are not selected. The selected films must have participated in at least one other festival. Israeli preview requested.

General Rules:
* We kindly ask you to inform us of the festivals you intend to participate in by writing directly to the managers of the selection(s) you are interested in.
* Sending a single link will be sufficient if you participate in multiple selections.
* Films must be subtitled in English.
* Please note that for these festivals, with the exception of Toronto, it is not necessary to register online and/or pay submission fees if you participate in the selections we organize.
* All links must arrive no later than June 20th.
