the Promotion Department at Cinecittà, Filmitalia, is organizing the Italian selections for the 26. SIFF - Shanghai International Film Festival that will take place from 14 to 23 June 2024.
We will collect and send the links directly to the festival.
Please find below the regulations:
COMPETITION (Golden Globet Award) - Eligible films should be:
- Produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st, 2023
- not selected in an international section (competitive or not) of other FIAPF-accredited competitive film festivals before SIFF
- not released in countries different than its country of production
- minimum 70 mins
- Priority will be given to World or International Premières
DOCUMENTARIES COMPETITION - Eligible documentaries should be:
- Produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st, 2023§- not selected in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited competitive film festivals before SIFF

- minimum 70 mins
- Priority will be given to World or International Premières
ANIMATION COMPETITION - Eligible animation films should be:
- Produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st, 2023
- not selected in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited competitive film festivals before SIFF
- minimum 60 mins
- Priority will be given to World or International Premières
PANORAMA/FOCUS ITALY - Eligible films should be:
- Produced or presented in their country of origin after June 1st, 2023
- not selected in the main competition category of other FIAPF-accredited competitive film festivals before SIFF
- minimum 70 mins
- Priority will be given to World or International Premières

We inform you that if you choose to submit the film through Filmitalia, it is NOT necessary to submit the film on Festival's website.
We kindly ask you to email us no later than Friday February 23rd, 2024: the title of the film you would like to submit; the link of the film with English subtitle; info sheet or pressbook in English.
