The pre-selections of the 75. Berlinale (February 13-23, 2025) will take place  from November 18th to 22nd, 2024. Tricia Tuttle, director of the Berlinale and Michael Stütz, Co-Director of Film Programming and Head of Panorama Section, will watch Italian films at Cinecittà in Rome.
Feature films (minimum 60’) produced during the 12 months preceding the festival (from February 2024) are eligible for the pre-selections.
For Competition and Encounters, World or International premiere is mandatory. For Panorama, Forum and Generation, the minimum requirement is the European premiere.

It will not be necessary to submit the films on the Berlinale website and pay the submission fee, you may send us a request by email including title and name of director, he section you wish to apply for and an online screener with English subtitles to the following contacts by the deadline of Wednesday October 30th:
