Cinecittà, Filmitalia area, is organizing the Italian selections for the next edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (July 4th - 12th, 2025). Karel Och (artistic director) and Lorenzo Esposito (delegate for Italy) will be in Cinecittà from 24 to 26 March 2025.
Regulations:
OFFICIAL SELECTION (Crystal Globe Competition and Proxima) The selection is open to feature films and documentaries (over 60') produced in the 12 months before the beginning of the festival, that have not participated in other competitive festivals and that have not been screened outside the country of origin. The films presented for the Official Selection must be exclusively World or International Premieres.
NON-COMPETITIVE SECTIONS The selection is open to feature films (over 60') produced in the 12 months before the beginning of the festival.
Materials for submissions: link, with a pressbook or data sheet. English subtitles are not mandatory for this stage of the selection.
Submission: it is not necessary to register the film and pay the fee. We kindky ask you to email the the link and the information material preferably within Thursday, March 20th to the following contacts:
