Selections for CPH:DOX in October

Cinecittà is organizing as usual the Italian selection for CPH:DOX Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, whose next edition runs in cinemas from March 10–21, 2027.
CPH:DOX festival programmer Lars Skovgaard Laursen will be in Cinecittà from October 5th to 7th 2026 to preview all new Italian documentaries. If you want to have your film considered for CPH:DOX, make sure to submit it before the deadline.
CPH:DOX is looking for short and feature documentary films. You're welcome to submit either a finished film or a rough cut – work-in-progress versions are welcome for preview.
General rules:
• The Festival only considers films completed after April 1, 2026
• For the Competitive Sections, priority is given to World Premieres, and secondarily to International and European Premieres.
• For the non-competitive sections, only a Danish premiere is required.
• A film already screened in Denmark — at festivals, on Danish TV, or on VOD platforms accessible from Denmark — is not eligible for selection.
The full >Rules and Regulations< are available on Festival's website.
To take part in the Cinecittà selection, please send a Vimeo link with English subtitles of the film you wish to submit, to our offices no later than Friday, October 2nd 2026.
Those who register through CINECITTA' do not have to pay the entry fee and will receive a waiver code. The waiver will be valid until the official Festival submission deadline, November 3rd 2026.
