Fame chimica wins at the 22nd edition of the Annecy Film Festival

The 22nd edition of the Annecy Italian Film Festivalended today with an award which also launches two new artists
The Annecy Italian Cinema Gran Prix was awarded to Fame chimica by Antonio Bocola and Paolo Vari, which also received the Prix du Public.
Nema problema by Giancarlo Bocchi won the Special Jury Prize. A Special Mention was given to the actors in the movie Miracolo a Palermo by Beppe Cino.
The award for Best Actor was awarded to Marco Foschi, who starred in Fame chimica.
Confirming Italian cinema’s good year, Barbora Bobulova was awarded the Best Actress Prize for her role in La spettatrice by Paolo Franchi, having already received the CICAE Award.
Last but not least, the award for the best short film was awarded ex equo to Cassa veloce by Francesco Falaschi andLa sera dell'ultima by Paolo Lipari.
Franco Zuliani, who produced the two winning films, was particularly pleased by these results, and had this comment to make: “It is difficult for Italian author cinema to gain commercial recognition, but this double victory is proof that it is indeed possible, and that Italian independent film, deserves the right recognition abroad”.
“It is with great pleasure that tonight, we again witness the greatness of Italian cinema, along with the achievements made by its young directors. From the success in Karlovy Vary to Locarno we are convinced that our cinema is returning to the great splendours of its past , with today’s victories of great interest”, declared Giovanni Galoppi.
