The Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente di Buenos Aires tomorrow kicks off its seventh edition.
One of the most important festivals in South America presenting many films from around the world, this year has selected for competition the multiple prize winner Private by Saverio Costanzo. In the section Consagrados besides the co-production Tropical Malady by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, is the film Land Wind by Vincenzo Marra, an already familiar author to the Argentinian audience, as his film Tornando a casa was the winner at the Festival’s fourth edition in 2002.
The Perspectivas desde el mundo section, features the documentary by Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi Oh! Uomo.

There is a tribute planned in honor of the Taviani brothers, and will feature the screening of their masterpiece from 1984, the film Kaos. Also having been invited to present his film Angela and Alfonso( 2001) is director Diego Perrone in the section Cine de Artistas.
