AIP Filmitalia in Venice

AIP Filmitalia, the company responsible for the promotion of Italian cinema in the world, will be present at this year's 62nd Venice International Film Festival together with Cinecittà Holding, Istituto Luce, Cinema Department of the Italian Ministry for Cultural and Heritage Activities, AGIS - ANEC, Italian Film Commissions, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia presenting "Spazio Cinema Incontri" at the Hotel Westin Excelsior on the Venice Lido, staged amidst the triangle of events, protagonists and screenings which characterize the oldest film festival in the world. This year’s meetings will be dedicated to the masters of Italian cinema, who will be joined by the directors and artists presenting a ‘ Group Portrait ‘ for each of their films. The stories told will have many voices, like pieces in a puzzle, interludes that will unveil the components of a score that is both unique and yet can be reproduced again and again. The first ‘Group Portrait’ event will feature Oscarwinner, and President of the 62nd Venice Festival’s jury, Dante Ferretti, the ideal godfather for A.I.P. Filmitalia’s scheduled meetings, followed by those presenting The Second Wedding Night, The Days of Abandonment, Don’t Tell, All the Invisibile Children, The Fine Art of Love, Musikanten, Texas, Mater Natura, The Passion of Joshua the Jew, Craj-Domani, ending up with the almost family, Group Portrait of Giada Colagrande and Willem Defoe, for Before it had a name.
