Smalltown, Italy in Competition at the Mostra de Valencia 2005

Stefano Mordini's first feature film Smalltown, Italy,has been selected to be in competition at the Mostra de Valencia. The competitive festival which this year celebrates its 26th edition, is seen as one of the major events on the Iberian peninsula. There are twelve titles in competition-one for each participating country-which have been selected among the most recent, high quality film productions, from the Mediterranean countries. Representing Italy, along with Smalltown, Italy, featured in the official selection and competing for the “Palmeras” (Gold: 30.000 Euro; Silver: 18.000 Euro; Bronze: 6.000 Euro), is Il silenzio dell’allodola by David Ballerini, which presented in the "Festival de Festivales" section is in the running for the Premio del Pubblico (18.000 Euro).
Presenting the Italian film in the official selection to the Spanish public, will be director Stefano Mordini and leading actress Valentina Cervi.
