The 21st edition of theThe Haifa International Film Festival, considered the major film event in Israel, tonight on the fourth day of the program, will present Paolo Sorrentino’s The Consequences of Love , in the running for the Fipresci award.
The Italian selection of films this year, which will include national productions as well as coproductions, is substantial. Eleven films in all will be presenting Italy.
This event which falls during the Jewish holiday Succoth, will feature 220 films from all over the world, and be expected to draw around 60.000 spectators.

In the section “Panorama”, Don’t Tell by Cristina Comencini, Miracolo a Palermo by Giuseppe Cino, The Life I Want by Giuseppe Piccioni, Before it had a name by Giada Colagrande.
Persona non grata by Krzysztof Zanussi in the section “Eastern European Cinema”, Va e vivrai, a Cattleya coproduction by Radu Mihaileanu, participating in the section “Haifa – Boston”, and finally the awardwinner Theo Angelopoulos presenting the film coproduced by Amedeo Pagani La sorgente del fiume.
