There are 25 Italian films presented at the 21st edition of Berlin’s International Festival of Shorts, Interfilm, ( November 1-6, 2005 ). The festival is divided into three programs : "Love and Other Special Offers", "Memories, Labour & Social Affaire" in the competition section IMMAGINALE and "A Brief History of Italian Animation", in the section ICONS.
Among the titles on the programme are "Trevirgolaottantasette" by Valerio Mastandrea, "Ti racconto una storia" by Manuela Mancini, "Il Mare" by Salvatore Mereu.
"La piccola Russia" by Gianluigi Toccafondo, "Cavallette" by Bruno Bozzetto and "La Partita" by Ursula Ferrara.
Having been hailed by the German press as the best festival dedicated to Shorts in Germany, Interfilm celebrates its 21st edition this year and comes after the Berlinale as the Festival in Berlin with the longest tradition, representing an important International platform for the world of Shorts.
Five days of an extensive look at the latest tendencies in the International film market.
From November 1-6, over 400 films from 93 countries worldwide will be presented to the International public which includes sector operators, specialised press representatives and Short film enthusiasts. An International Jury will award the different prizes for a total value of 35.000 Euro.
The space dedicated to the International market of Shorts, production seminars, debates and the Festival club-the festival meeting place- provide the ideal setting for an exchange of ideas, projects and cooperation among the different modes of production in the various countries participating at Interfilm.
