Review of Contemporary Italian Cinema in Brazil

San Paolo’s “prima settimana” of Contemporary Italian Cinema, already in the first days of programming, gains the attention and active participation of the Brazilian public.
Just in the first week, over 600 paying spectators attended screenings of The Consequences of Love by Paolo Sorrentino and After Midnight by Davide Ferrario.
The review which officially opened on November 17th, in the new Multiplex Iguanemi Cinemark with the films, Private, by Saverio Costanzo and La febbre ,by Alessandro D’Alatri will run through Thursday, November 24th.
In response to the large audience turnout, Aip-Filmitalia, Assocamerestero and the Italian Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Cinemark, whose 9 cinemas hosted the screenings, are already planning a larger and more lavish second edition for 2006.
