Marina Spada is a winner in Montpellier

Yesterday’s Awards ceremony marked the conclusion of the 28th Montpellier International Festival of Mediterranean Film. The International Jury comprised by Alain Masson (Positif, France) Alex Masson (Les Inrockuptibles, France) Jérôme Provençal (Les Inrockuptibles, France), Umberto Rossi (Cineforum, Italy), Néamat Allah Hussein (Akher Saa, Egypt), Angel Comas (Dirigido por, Spain) assigned this year’s Critic’s Prize to the Italian film, As the Shadow by Marina Spada. The film, Come l’Ombra, presented in Venice Days at the last Venice Film Fesitval, also participated in the festivals of Toronto, London and Hamburg.
Also worth mentioning is this year’s Canal + prize which was awarded to Tommaso Carboni for the film Ex, and film Massima punizione by directors Filippo Macelloni and Lorenzo Garzella which won the “ Prix du public GTC-Kodak-Titra Film”.
