Following the five films representing Italian cinema that were screened in Goa at the International Film Festival of India which ended on Sunday December 3rd, this year’s Kerala International Film Festival now celebrating its 11th edition features six Italian titles along with three International co-productions. This festival held in Trivandrum, the Indian capital of Kerala, features cinema from Asia, Africa and Latin America cinema in its official competition section and many other International titles in the section World Cinema. The Italian films are: As the Shadow by Marina Spada, The Golden Door by Emanuele Crialese, When Do the Girls Show Up? by Pupi Avati, and Shorts : Due bravi ragazzi by Tony Palazzo, She He by Massimo Amici, the documentary by Annamaria Gallone L'abbraccio di Barbara, and the co-prodcutions "Hidden" by Michael Haneke, "Persona non Grata" by Krzysztof Zanussi, "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" by Ken Loach.
The Festival will come to a close on December 15th, 2006 following the Golden Crow Pheasant Award Ceremony.
