The start of the fourth edititon of the Italian Screenings at Villa Erba begin July 8th

Organized by Audiovisual Industry Promotion ((A.I.P.) and the Institute of Foreign Trade (ICE) with the collaboration of UNEFA and help from local institutions, the fourth edition of “Italian Screenings” this year, gathers producers and distributors from all over the world, carefully selected by UNEFA, based on the major professional guarantees and interests in Italian cinema, for an intense ‘three days’ of screenings and meetings in which they will be able to view the most recent Italian film productions and meet with International sellers, and see some International market and film previews.
Just to name a few of the buyers that have been invited, Pyramide, MK2, Alamode, Asahi Shimbun, Paradise, Miramax, Tartan Films, Magnolia, Wellspring and Sundance Channel. Together with the operators, producers, exporters and producers of our Film Industry.

The new edition of Screenings this year will take place in a location all of its own : Villa Erba, already heralded as having been the family residence of Luchino Visconti, today transformed into a current expository complex on the riverbed of Lake Como.
The stucture of Villa Erba besides being a historical residence, is realised in a protected environment with the net expository area of 6500 square meters can be subdivided into 280 stands arranged into 11000 square meters. The modularity of the area admits lots of solutions. For this occasion, three screening rooms ( one with digital), meeting areas and private screening rooms have been set up.
This initiative, having been very successful in the last three years, is part of the priority programs established in the course of the year by Audiovisual Industry Promotion, and effectively confirms the objective to promote the national product with the support and incentives in stategic International markets which has been AIP’s goal, following the guidelines by their shareholders Cinecitta’ Holding and Fiera Milano.

The event this year, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Productive Assets (Project Filmare “Italia - Life in I style”) is also supported by local institutions like the Province of Como, Chamber of Commerce of Como and Municipality of Cernobbio.
