While his documentary Auschwitz 2006 is screening at the Rome Film Festival, In memory of Me , the young Roman director’s latest accomplishment is drawing a great deal of attention around the world. Winner of the “Gold Hugo” award this past October 18th for Best Film in the rising new directors category at the Chicago Film Festival , the film also received the “Robert Wise Award” for Best Director, assigned by the Festival jury on October 20th at the Gent Film Festival. Up till now, the film has been presented in 13 other International film festivals and is currently screening at the London Film Festival (October 17th-November 1st).
