A whole week of Italian cinema kicks off in Argentina from November 22nd through November 28th, in the city of Buenos Aires. Created as a special project of the Ministry of Cultural Treasures and Activities Direction General Cinema which has organized the event with Filmitalia and INCAA (National Institute for Argentinian Cinema) it presents six of the latest Italian film productions along with the film series project La Meglio Gioventù which features 20 first feature films from 2000 up until today.
The films selected are Saturno contro by Ferzan Ozpetek, The Fever by Alessandro D’Alatri, Manuale d'amore by Giovanni Veronesi, Don’t Tell by Cristina Comencini, The Second wedding night by Pupi Avati and My Best enemy by Carlo Verdone.
Presenting this week of Italian cinema is a delegation of Italian artists as
well as official representatives of major Italian institutions. During the
event, also screened are works by artist
Ursula Ferrara and the restored
print of Gillo Pontecorvo’s "The Battle of Algiers".
