Announcing the films at the   Mexico City Festival

The films participating in the fifth edition of the International Festival of Contemporary Cinema of Mexico City (FICCO) have been announced.
The festival, held in the Mexican capital,will run from February 19 to March 2.
Featured among the films in competition, is the Italian film Tagliare le parti in grigio by Vittorio Rifranti, already a winner at the Locarno International Film Festival, where it received the Best First Feature award.
An important homage dedicated to the Italian couple, filmmakers, Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi, tied to cinema and to each other for more than 35 years.
13 films are to be presented: from the recent Ghiro Ghiro Tondo (2007), to the so-called war trilogy, composed of the films “Prisoners of War” (1995), “Su tutte le vette è pace” (1998) and Oh! uomo (2004), up to more experimental films such as the series of “Frammenti Elettrici”.
Finally, in the section “Galas” we find the two co-productions Go Go Tales by Abel Ferrara andLes amours d’Astrée et de Céladon by Eric Rhomer.
