Double Italian Victory at the Oscars

Oscar night has once more awarded Italy’s creative talent by giving the sought after statuette to three excellent artists already familiar to the Kodak Theatre audience. Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo received the Oscar for Best Set and Costume design for Tim Barton’s "Sweeney Todd", having already won this award for Martin Scorsese’s film “ The Aviator “ Oscar for Best Music Score went to Dario Marianelli for the film "Atonement" directed by Joe Wright.
Marianelli had been nominated last year for Joe Wright’s “Pride and Prejudice“.
