Three Times Italy at 23. Tokyo International Film Festival

Tokyo’s TIFF, the most prestigious Japanese film event at its 23rd edition, will host 3 Italian productions this year, a record number for an European country, thanks to Director Yoshi Yatabe who confirmed his interest in our cinema during the selection screenings held in Rome during past July.
International Competition, devoted to new authors, will host Et in terra pax, by Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini, recently acclaimed at Venice Days – Giornate degli Autori. World Cinema selection will include another Venice premiere, La solitudine dei numeri primi by Saverio Costanzo.
Natural TIFF, the section dedicated to the relationship between mankind and natural environment, will present Le quattro volte by Michelangelo Frammartino, already in the lineup of Japanese distributor Zazie Films. The ecologic soul of the festival is also highlighted by the 'Green Carpet”, made of recycled materials, that among others will be walked across by Terra pax’ directors Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini, actor Maurizio Tesei and producer Simone Isola; director of La solitudine dei numeri primi Saverio Costanzo together with leading actress Alba Rohrwacher, and for Le quattro volte director Michelangelo Frammartino.
Last but not least, Italian jury member for the International Competition, is producer Domenico Procacci (Fandango).
