After the successful first edition of the Meetings with Italian Cinema last November in Istanbul, Cinecitta Luce is back to Turkey this month, for the first year working with the Istanbul International Film Festival, which celebrates its 30th anniversary.
The contemporary Italian title, selected by the festival in Rome, are Draquıla by Sabina Guzzanti in Documentary section NTV Times, Passion by John Turturro Out of Competition, La nostra vita by Daniele Luchetti and Gorbacıof by Stefano Incerti in the section From the World of Festivals.
The films selected will be accompanied by a delegation composed of directors Sabina Guzzanti and Daniele Luchetti and by the musician Peppe Servillo Passion for the film Passion.
Another great Italian name that represents our country on the Bosphorus is actress Anna Bonaiuto, sworn to the Golden Tulip Award - International Competition.
The selection of classic films includes three masterpieces of Italian cinema: I soliti ignoti (Bigt Deal on Madonna Street, 1958) by Mario Monicelli, Il grido (The Cry, 1957) by Michelangelo Antonioni and Federico Fellini's 8 ½ (1963).
For the occasion, Cinecittà Luce has created a bilingual catalog in Turkish and English which includes a 'Festival' section and another section is dedicated to the ‘Meetıng wıth the Italıan Movıe Industry’a day of business meetings,' Meeting with the Italian Movie Industry ', event that will take place on 14th April supprted by the Ministry of Economic Development, and ICE Italian Trade Commission.
To celebrate the first collaboration with the 30th Istanbul Film Festival, Cinecittà Luce will organize on April 11th, an Italian party at the 'House of Italy' which also houses the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul with the participation of institutions, the press, Turkish and international professionals, as well as talents.
