Italian Film Festival in Tokyo

The eleventh edition of Italian Film Festival in Tokyo will take place as usual in the Japanese capital during the Golden Week (the most important week of national holidays) and is a highly anticipated event by a wide audience in our country and our cinema. Also this year the selection, made by Asahi Shimbun and by ' Italian Cultural Institute , will include 12 Japanese Premieres.
The festival, organized by Cinecittà Luce with Asahi Shimbun, the Japanese giant publisher that hosts the film in the prestigious Ginza Yurakucho Asahi Hall, the Italian Cultural Institute, and enjoys the patronage of the President the Italian Republic and the patronage of HE The Ambassador of Italy in Japan.
During its eleven editions, the Festival saw the presentation of over a hundred films and at least thirty titles have found a Japanese distributor, among the most recent Vincere, L’uomo che verrà, Il papà di Giovanna, La ragazza del lago, Centochiodi, I viceré, La siciliana ribelle, Riprendimi, Tutta la vita davanti.
This year the Italian Cultural Institute will host the opening of the Festival at its prestigious headquarter, on April 28, with the premiere of the film We believed by Mario Martone.
For the second year, finally, the Italian Film Festival will present seven of the 12 films in Osaka on 7 and 8 May.
