Istituto Luce – Cinecittà, Filmitalia Dept., is pleased to host during the month of April, the following Festival selections for Italian films:

65th Festival del film Locarno
August 1-11, 2012
Selections by:: Olivier Père (Artistic Director), Roberto Turigliatto (Selection Committee).
Selections: Rome, April 17, 23 and 24. A second selection will be held in June.
Participation rules : THE PIAZZA GRANDE for long feature fiction and documentaries; THE CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE for long fiction feature films and documentaries exceeding 60 min. length; THE CONCORSO CINEASTI DEL PRESENTE for first and second works exceeding 60 min. length: fiction feature films, documentaries and experimental works are eligible; THE CONCORSO PARDI DEL DOMANI for short and medium length films running up to a maximum of 40 min. and whose directors have not yet filmed a long feature film.
For all the sections, the films must have been made after August 1, 2011, they must be World or International Premieres and they must not have been shown at any other International Festival.
Required materials for the selections: 1 dvd together with technical data or publicity material. The subtitles are not necessary for the selections.
Film submission : it is not necessary to register the film and pay the fee. We kindly ask you to send the DVD to our office (Istituto Luce – Cinecittà / Filmitalia – Att.: Serena Mazzi e Rossella Rinaldi – Via Tuscolana 1055 – 00173 Roma) no later than Friday April 13.

47th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
June 29 - July 7, 2012
Selections by: Eva Zaoralova.
Selections: Rome, April 11 – 16.
Participation rules: OFFICIAL SELECTION (Competition): long feature films and documentaries made after January 1, 2011 are eligible provided that they have not been shown at any other festival or screened out of the country of origin.
NON COMPETITIVE SECTIONS: for long feature films made after January 1, 2011.
Required materials for the selections: 1 dvd together with technical data or publicity material. The subtitles are not necessary for the selections.

Required materials for the selections: DVD – the subtitles are not necessary for the selections.
