Italian participation at this year's Toronto International Film Festival marks top prestige: the new film by Sergio Castellitto, Twice Born, will world premiere as a Gala, and will be accompanied by new films of internationally acclaimed masters as Marco Bellocchio, Bernardo Bertolucci, Daniele Ciprì, Matteo Garrone. Together with them, two titles travelling with prestigious Venice logo as Leonardo Di Costanzo's The Interval and Bergman & Magnani: the War of Volcanoes by Francesco Patierno.

At Festival des films du Monde in Montreal, two titles are in Competitions: L'innocenza di Clara by Toni D'Angelo in World section and The Cherry on the Cake by Laura Morante in the First Films competition.
Other World premieres, besides Toni D'Angelo's, will also be new films by Ilaria Borrelli, David Maria Putortì and Massimo Scaglione (out of competition). Other directors attending will be Fausto Brizzi, Ferzan Opzetek, Ruggero Dipaola
