Italian Cinema conquers the breezy summer Scandinavian Peninsula

Golden era for the Italian cinema in the Scandinavian peninsula, which boasts 9 Italian titles this year at Norwegian International Film Festival, to be held in Haugesund, August 20-27th. The Italian films will be featured in a program of more than 100 feature films, from all nationalities.
Buongiorno, notte by Marco Bellocchio, Non ti muovere by Sergio Castellitto, Dopo Mezzanotte by Davide Ferrario, Il vestito da sposa by Fiorella Infascelli, Prendimi l’anima by Roberto Faenza, Ricordati di me by Gabriele Muccino, Le conseguenze dell’amore by Paolo Sorrentino, Sotto falso nome by Roberto Andò and Ballo a tre passi by Salvatore Mereu: these are the 9 Italian films selected, which will make up almost 10% of the entire Festival program.

The exceptional presence of Italian cinema in the 32nd edition of the Festival is motivated, according to director Håkon Skogrand, by the high quality of the most recent Italian productions, and profitable collaboration with AIP-Filmitalia which this year, along with the very delegates from the Festival, has helped organize the selections of Italian films. The films will be accompanied and presented by an artistic delegation which reads: Roberto Andò, Marco Bellocchio, Sergio Castellitto and Fiorella Infascelli.

Besides the strong presence which our cinema represents, one must add to this, the increasing interest shown by the Scandinavian market for :Dopo Mezzanotte, Il vestito da sposa e Prendimi l’anima have already struck agreements for distribution on Norwegian territory. Instead, already sold across the entire Scandinavian territory, are Non ti muovere and Sotto falso nome. Still to be defined are transactions involving the rights for distribution of two other films.
