Istituto Luce Cinecittà is organising the Italian selection for the following festival:
The 44° International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 21st  - February 1st  2015)

The Festival programmer Gerwin Tamsma will be our guest in Rome from November 17th to 21st in order select Italian films:

THE HIVOS TIGER AWARDS COMPETITION
First or second time directors of a feature length film, 60 minutes or longer. The film should have its World, International or European premiere in Rotterdam (During the festival an international jury selects three winners who will each receive Euro 15.000 in cash).
15 films will be selected and compete for the festival’s three main awards.

BRIGHT FUTURE
Debut and second features or documentaries directed by new and rising authors.
Approximately twenty-five world or international premieres.

SPECTRUM
International showcase of high quality films directed by masters or upcoming helmer. present their premieres in Rotterdam.

There is a  new section starting from this year called LIMELIGHT: will be selected 30 films by talented directors of contemporary cinema which are set to be released in cinemas across the Netherlands following the 44th IFFR.

The directors of the selected films will attend IFFR and present their films to the audience in the same fashion as with all major sections of the Festival. Through Limelight, IFFR will cultivate existing close relationships with Dutch distributors and filmmakers as it continues in its commitment to supporting the release of high quality feature films in the Netherlands and internationally.

We kindly ask you to send the English subtitled DVD of the film you would like to submit with a press book not later than November 4th 2014 to our office at the following address:

If you send the DVD of the film at ISTITUTO LUCE – CINECITTA’ you do not need to fill the entry form online and pay the fee.
