as usual Filmitalia, the Promotion department of Istituto Luce Cinecittà, is organizing the Italian selections for the following festivals (in chronological order of the directors’/delegates’ arrivals).
We remind that no fee payment or prior registration on festivals' websites is required, in case of participation to our selections.

• 40° Toronto International Film Festival, Sept 10th /20th: we will host TIFF Director and CEO Piers Handling from June 30th through July 2nd . Any film completed after Sept. 1st 2014 and which hasn’t had a commercial release in Canada is eligible.

• 59° London Film Festival, October 7th /18th ): we will host CEO of Film London and Program Advisor for Italy Adrian Wootton from July 8th through the 10th. Any film completed in the last 18 months and which hasn’t had any kind of release in the UK is eligible.

• 20° Busan International Film Festival, October 1st /10th ): we will host Senior Programmer Soue-Won Rhee from July 14th through the 17th. Films completed after October 2014 are eligible for the sections Flash Forward (Busan Bank Award for Best Film 20.000 USD) and for the non-competitive sections. The ten titles in Competition are selected by a Committee and priority is given to international or world premières. Wide Angle is the only section which accepts documentaries.

• 28° Tokyo International Film Festival, October 22nd /31st: we will host Director Yoshi Yatabe from July 20th through the 22nd. Films (including animation films) which would be presented as an Asian première, completed after January 1st 2015, and not presented in Competition in other festivals included in FIAPF ranking are eligible for International Competition (Tokyo Sakura Grand Prix 50.000 USD). Films which were presented successfully in other festivals but have not yet had a release in Japan are eligible for World Focus. The festival does not accept documentaries.

We ask you to kindly inform us on your interest to submit Italian films to one or more of the above listed festivals, and kindly ask you to send us a DVD or a Blu Ray subtitled in English, preferably accompanied by a pressbook in English within the last week of June.
