Istituto Luce Cinecittà is organising the Italian selection for the 45^th International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 27^th - February 7^th  2016).
The Festival programmer Gerwin Tamsma will be our guest in Rome from November 2^nd to 6^th in order to select Italian films:

General Rules for Eligibility - Submission to the Festival is open to feature films, creative documentaries, experimental films (minimum length 60 minutes) and short films and innovative visual productions for digital media completed after 1 January 2015. The Festival gives priority to world and international premieres; films that have already been shown in The Netherlands are not admitted. Films previously submitted to the Festival and not selected will not be reconsidered for the 2016 Festival.

THE HIVOS TIGER AWARDS COMPETITION -  First or second time directors of a feature length film, 60 minutes or longer. The film should have its World, International or European premiere in Rotterdam.
Eight films will compete in the Hivos Tiger Awards Competition for a single Hivos Tiger Award worth €40,000, to be shared by director and producer. In addition, a special jury award worth €10,000 will be presented to an exceptional artistic achievement within the competition.

BRIGHT FUTURE -  Debut and second features or documentaries directed by new and rising authors.
Approximately twenty-five world or international premieres.

SPECTRUM - The festival's Spectrum section keeps tabs on global cinema screening recent highlights from the international festival circuit and other impressive and contemporary works.

LIMELIGHT - Films by alluring names – award-winners at the big film festivals – and striking films that will be released in cinemas in the Netherlands after IFFR. Accompanied by special introductions to the screenings and premieres with internationally famous guests.

We kindly ask you to send the English subtitled DVD or Blu-ray  of the film you would like to submit with a press book not later than October 23rd 2015 to our office at the following address:

If you send the DVD of the film at ISTITUTO LUCE – CINECITTA’ you do not need to fill the entry form online and pay the fee.
