The film goes on with the reading of “Resurrection”, the last great Tolstoj’s novel, written between 1889 and 1899. Actresses and actors read since 2012, in different times and places, from Naples to “museo del Carcere di Torino”, Berlin, Locarno, Oneglia, Turin again, Paris, Casalborgone, Milan.
Constantly the film is looking for subtle unforseen coincidences, between words of Tolstoj’s story and people, life situations and places, filmed during our these last years.
The story of downfall and redemption of the two main characters alternates with today’s people and their stories.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
Labyrinthine film through places, times and voices, filmed with my old miniDV camera.
In the name of change, from past to present (already with Tolstoj). The film shows also people who are alive and after are dead (Marlena Bonezzi singer at “La Scala” .) Than only the survivor speaks.
Salvatore Cantalupo, actor from Naples, that I filmed in 2012 in his town and now is dead. This is the power and the magic of cinema. Anyway love and admiration for the last Tolstoj and his “socialism” has been the first impulse for me.
