A bland room in a Madrid office building becomes the sight of a bloody battle of raging wills and wits in the newest film from director Marcelo Piñeyro (Kamchatka, VIFF 03) A group of "masters of the universe" corporate types are assembled to compete for one position using something called the Grönholm method, an American human resources strategy meant to separate the weak from the strong. But the weak may be more wily than they appear, and the strong infinitely more fragile. Carlos (Eduardo Noriega), Nieves (Najwa Nimri), Fernando (Eduard Fernández), Ana (Adriana Ozores) and Enrique (Ernesto Alterio) represent every permeation of the corporate ethos. Some are young and ferocious, while others are older and more sly, but all are equally hungry.
Based on the play by Jordi Galcerán Ferrer.
