A small broadcaster in Sardinia - Italy, directed by the cynical Franco Avemaria, is now on the verge of bankruptcy. Damned Stories, flagship program of the TV station, hosts in studio each week a war refugee forced to tell his drama lived during the war in order to receive donations by an audience emotionally anesthetized. The guest of the 12th episode is the Bosnian Hamid Dedovic who has lost his family in the Bosnian war (1992-1995) and miraculously survived imprisonment and tortures by the Serbians. The show proceeds miserably with sequins and improbable jingles until a phone call arrives. The starting point of an unstoppable tension.
