Call for submission: HBF+Europe: Minority Co-production Support

The Hubert Bals Fund of International Film Festival Rotterdam has announced that the HBF+Europe: Minority Co-production Support scheme is open for applications. The scheme is especially designed for international co-productions in which at least one European and one non-European producer is involved. Through this scheme, the Hubert Bals Fund aims to encourage European producers to participate as a minority co-producer in high-quality film projects by filmmakers from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe. Therefore, the fund is looking for narrative feature films that will be co-produced between filmmakers of one of these regions and a European co-producer. The scheme has a special spotlight on first and second feature films, but is also open to films by filmmakers more advanced in their career. Five projects can be awarded with a production support grant of €52,000. The European co-producers of these projects are invited to submit an application for HBF+Europe: Minority Co-production Support through MyIFFR. The regulations and more information on project submission can be found on the
