Each year, the association organizes the Heliotrope Nice short film festival to highlight the young European creation. Through several competitive programs, the Festival presents unique works, innovative and diverse reflecting the creativity and originality offered by the short film.
COMPETITIONS AND PRIZES
The festival consists of 4 official competitions, each selection is subject to the vote of several juries will present ten cash prizes and distributed among winners technical services.
- The European Competition, the heart of the festival , will offer forty movies of all genres (fiction, documentary and animation). The European Competition is distinguished by the European Competition Jury , made up of professionals who award the Grand Prize and the Special Jury Prize. A student jury is made and gives the student price. Finally, the public vote for the film he wishes to reward the Audience Award City of Nice.
- Competition Experiment , film competition experimental video art and new cinema , will include twenty films. This competition is awarded the Experience jury made up of artists who will award Experience Award.
- Competition Short Animation will focus only on films French animation schools (France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg). This competition is distinguished by the SACD .
- Competition Courts Here honors the productions regions PACA and Corsica . She is rewarded with a short Prix here and a PACA Region Award.
