The enigmatic detective Claudio Bìndaga shows up in a country town near Ferrara in order to solve the mystery of the wedding of Duke Alfonso I d’Este with Laura Dianti, a working-class woman whose ghost has been wandering in the surroundings of the Delizia del Verginese for the last five hundred years.
The unusual investigation between past and present, dream and reality, between people and their own ghosts will bring to light a dormant trauma, buried into the detective’s past.
