“The Wolf”, loosely based on the life of Luciano Liboni, narrates a crime story followed by millions of Italians in the summer of 2004, up to its tragic finale. Franco Scattoni, a rough, hostile man, has great difficulty with social relations. The event that marks Franco's adolescence, indeed, his entire brief existence, is the illness and suicide of his father, a tragedy that can be understood only by his sister Sara, perhaps the only person with whom Franco manages to establish an emotional tie. In order to obtain the money he needs to treat his epilepsy, and to pursue the illusion of a carefree life in Morocco, where his pregnant girlfriend Miriam is waiting for him, Franco commits a series of crimes - small-scale robberies, assault and battery, drug dealing – until a tragic escalation finds him guilty of the most tragic and ferocious of offences: murder…
