The goal of the documentary is to provide a wide-ranging description (both video and sound) of the musical wealth of the gypsy peoples (Roms, Synths, Manouches, Kales and Romanichals): a music that has taken on special forms, including the folk tradition of the Balkans, the Iberian-French flamenco, Synth-German swing and French Manouche jazz. The film explores and “discovers” a number of the most important musicians in the Balkans area, together with the festivals of a musical universe known in the west only on account of the fame won by Goran Bregovic.
